Corvette

Updated: Dec 12, 2018

This is my personal all time favorite car brand. This brand is made by Chevrolet, and is also known as "Vette".

The First Generation corvette was introduced in late 1953. They made no coupes that generation, only convertibles. It was originally built as a show car for the 1953 New York Motorama display, but eventually caught GMs eye. They then later made a version of it to be sold to the public.

Second Generation (C2) was a little different. Production started in 1963, and ended in 1967. it introduced the new Stingray model, which became a big hit. the stingray continued with fiberglass body panels, but was a little smaller than the original corvette. A little later on the C2 was referred to as mid-years. 3,640 were built, and sold slowly.

Now were going to skip a couple and go up to The Seventh Generation. This model has recently become known as the old man's toy. Recent studies have shown that Corvette buyers have been 55 years or older. That was completely off topic. Features of the new generation's structure include a carbon fiber hood and removable roof panel. The underbody panels are made of "carbon-nano" composite and it makes use of a new aluminum frame which locates the four wheels an inch farther apart, front to rear and side to side.
